I've given up teh fight against typos. Deal w/ it.

Multiply disabled GenX Cdn.

Not as interesting as I used to be, but I can still keep myself entertained.

Equality; UBI; gardens, seed saving; books; houseplants; art; music; writing; cooking.

It's sadly the same across Canada.

What a cutie! She looks like she might have a big silly side.

Wow! What a fright! I'm glad it turned out to be nothing to worry about.

I would love this as well!

I love finding book recommendations as I'm scrolling. I just added this one to my TBR. Thanks for mentioning it. It sounds really good!

Well, a good number of Americans are fine with pedophiles. And fine with racism. And fine with discarding the constitution. Why not add war crimes?

It's a great suggestion for many, I'm sure. I wish it would work for me!

My grandmother used to make it with corned beef. When I make it, it's all I eat for breakfast, lunch, and supper for a week!

Interesting! My education was in Canada, and that was not my experience. Perhaps I shouldn't be commenting on this post as our systems seem to be quite different. Sometimes, I speak (type) where I shouldn't.

That's similar to how my brain works - I could find what I was looking for in my mind's eye. Then, I lost my ability to visualize. So, my brain requires images to recall info, but my brain also no longer makes images.

I have many memories of childhood beginning at 2 years old. It has shocked many people over the years. Although I've lost my ability to remember most things, my childhood can still be recalled in detail and at will.

Sounds like an easy fix, but after my loss of this ability, I also struggle to organize thoughts well enough to take notes.

have imagined. I lost my ability to visualize, and my memory is based on recalling images. With no images, no memory. Covid made it so much worse.

Wear a mask, folks! Covid is still here, and the risks can be life changing in unpredictable and awful ways. 2/2

As someone who could do that their entire life, I could quote passages from books and give page number, and more, who lost it all after one event over 15 yrs ago, then had it compounded after getting Covid in 2021, it's a devastating loss and the effects are far further reaching than I could 1/2

Maybe 60% "pass", but a not insignificant number of students "pass" even without the marks. Many students, who are now parents, grew up with "social passes" and even if the students didn't have the marks they were pushed through anyway to stay with their peers.

I only recall being marked on the bell curve in university. Do many schools use this for children?
December 4, 2025 at 1:50 PM
Couldn't this provide valuable information to the parents about the *teacher* as much as the students? If most students aren't doing well, then the teacher needs to adjust. No child can be sure to be doing their best if the teacher is using ineffective methods and no (or few) students are thriving.

Thanks! Looks like if I enjoy the author, I'll have a long list of books to read!

Meanwhile, in Canada, we have/ had shows like This Hour Has 22 Minutes and Royal Canadian Air Farce, and various comedians showing up in character to ask absurd questions during political scrums and the politicians just go with it, good naturedly. 2/2

Can you imagine that with this administration? Folks would be threatened with jail time, deportation, and capital punishment. 1/2

Yes, after I commented, I thought I could have included a few Australian shows, too. I mostly watch UK, Australian, and Canadian shows. Occasionally, other European mystery/ detective shows if in English.
