My mom was hilarious (at least to me) with writing her own lyrics. Far East Movement’s Like A G6 - “Feeling so fried Like a Chz Stick”; Linkin Park’s Numb - “I freak out sometimes!”; Elton John’s Tiny Dancer: “Count the headlamps on the high men”; Losing her is still hard, but Music helps.
i used to think the lyric was ‘i wanna rock and roll all night / and part of every day’ and i remember thinking, honestly that sounds reasonable
