The emu war was real. Now it's time for the turkey war.

Currently kids can go and ask their Dr for vaccinations without parental consent. Currently, they can access contraceptives and sexual health care without a parent being involved. I'll bet you a penny who is driving this push via transphobia to take those rights away.

In the UK we have the Gillick Competency ruling which means that minors can seek out their own health care if they are deemed able to consent. This is under threat right now via anti- trans campaigning. There's suggestion that the real goal is to take away access to contraceptives.

Anyway then i learned that was nonsense and actually people actually do spend time on file management, document planning, sorting their emails, and writing things down. It's taken years to unpack the shame and even longer to try and figure out how to do it myself. I'm 40 and only just getting it.

b) that to do any sort of organising was "making a fuss" being fussy, prissy, silly, unnecessary etc and anybody cool and clever simply wouldn't have to.
Having to organise was simply shameful on many levels.

Uuurrrgghhhh. he crossed the very low bar of acknowledging her, but that bar is so low a snake would struggle to limbo.

Yes.
It took going through the whole tutorial but then i realised why people really value it and my brain just sort of felt more organised.

In the end if you are a creator, especially, engaging with art that was made by someone Provably A Shit, you too need to grapple with that -- even briefly. Don't just glance at it and let it go if the art really did mean something to you. Grab it. Feel its weight. Does it have any? Feel its edges.

I love this process but also realising that you are standing at the bottom of a giant mountain of info is somewhat daunting

Look I'm always dubious of "why did you run from the police if you're innocent" accusations, because there's many valid reasons, but....

WHY DID YOU DELETE THE DATA IF YOU'VE GOT NOTHING TO HIDE JOANNE, HUH?

I think what's often so frustrating is how many men I've worked with who have never harassed me, never come close. Even the guy who was wildly sexist about women in STEM never came close to sexual harassment. So the guys who are "afraid" of working with women are really telling on themselves
