For many many years i avoided using anything to organise thoughts or really anything. Even file organising on my PC. Because i had been given a very strong impression that a) everybody else just automatically kept track of things and i was a failure for not being able to do so naturally and
my brain always wants to bounce btwn stories but ive been really confused how people manage doing so. its hard to keep all the little details and the feel of characters in different stories clear in my head

and now it makes perfect sense: they dont! they write that stuff down and keep it organized

In the end if you are a creator, especially, engaging with art that was made by someone Provably A Shit, you too need to grapple with that -- even briefly. Don't just glance at it and let it go if the art really did mean something to you. Grab it. Feel its weight. Does it have any? Feel its edges.

Fifteen books I read in 2015 that I would recommend to others. Various genres, indie, small and trad press. Audiobooks, ebooks, library books and paperbacks. Some rereads, some new to me. Some older titles, some recently published.

A paper i was going to reference has just dusqualifued itself by referring to *countries* as "the femine country" and "the masculine one". Which has if nothing else, broken my brain too much to continue.

Just in case there's any public figures out there you think you don't follow because they're absolute scumbags who are now raising their heads above the parapet once more and want to check.
I think lots of people still don’t know they need to unfollow before they block because otherwise they’re still following.

Heads-up for folks who're teachers and/or have kids in school who don't know - per a fawning article in the Telegraph there's another Transgender-Trend-alike pile of bigots called 'Protect & Teach' making it their mission to harass schools into being fucking awful to trans kids in the UK.

This is so weird. They're not actually worth that much since they are not solid gold and the cultural values is only there for people really keen on Dewsbury. Why would you steal these? Did they think they were the equivalent of royal jewels, maybe tall gold or some such?

Also it's none of your business! If you aren't checking in to make sure your neighbors are doing their taxes correctly, then it's not your problem what a neighbor's immigration status is.
I genuinely have no idea how to convey this to the American people, but I think the biggest impediment to any kind of immigration reform is that people are convinced that "legal" and "illegal" are immutable, intrinsic categories instead of a rapidly-shifting arbitrary constellation of regulations.

Don’t forget the kids who weren’t lucky enough to have a cute photo go viral to get people outraged on their behalf. They ALL must be released.

My cat visits the neighbour's houses acting like he's never been fed ever. Today he chose a a neighbour i was visiting at the time so he got caught.
Luckily they all know he's well cared for and properly fed. He also accepts fuss and adoration.

There is, actually, very little evidence of Palestinians committing widespread sexual violence on Oct 7. Nearly all of the reporting got debunked. Obviously even one incident (and there were certainly a few) is too many! but the idea that it was systematic or extremely prevalent has v little basis.

Suddenly occurred to me that the reason I'm struggling a bit this January compared to last Jan is that I'm doing literally twice as much as i was then.
Working two days instead of one, four instead of two assignments.
Of course it's a bit tough.

When I say death to the billionaire class I am being very fucking literal.

I have spent my entire life since I was old enough to be aware of social-economic injustice screamingly angry about it in all its forms.

The people - the global working class - absolutely must kill our oppressors.
im genuinely not sure if its possible to be angry enough abt the world being run by a reddit pedophile cabal. the appropriate amount of anger would make you explode into a fine mist, and i don't advise doing that for safety reasons
