"Things were better when I was a kid"....

A pretty constant refrain from people.

You know, when you were less aware of world as a whole. When you weren't out there looking for bad things. When you had no responsibilities.

No shit things were better.....
In the 80's the mayor of DC was a literal crackhead.

In the past week I’ve seen all kinds of posts on here saying

Kamala Harris = Bad
Josh Shapiro = Bad
Cory Booker = Bad
Gavin Newsom = Bad
Pete Buttigieg = Bad
Amy Klobuchar = Bad

We’re clearly doing a great job beating the image that we claim everyone is a Nazi unless they check all the boxes…..

By lobbying against a stock trading ban, President Trump is showing us once again where his priorities lie: in advancing his own self-interests and making the top 1% even richer.

His kids were home? Could you imagine? Going and impacting a parent in front of their kids? That would be horrible, right "anonymous ice agent"? Who would do something like that......

If only people said over and over again this is what would happen....... (including people running on the right and project 2025)
Sen. Murphy: The American people hate this piece of legislation. It represents the biggest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in history. It's going to kick between 10 and 15 million people off their health care, for what? To afford tax cuts for billionaires. It's a moral abomination

This is the same dude who lives in fear of straws because he thinks it will make him gay, right?

This isn't new. If you frame most liberal policies as a partisan or pushed by R policy people love it.

The problem is the lead poisoned right isn't voting by logic.
When Republican voters learn that the "Big Beautiful Bill" takes from the poor to give to the rich, they oppose it.

Mamdani won, and that's great, and the DNC leadership should be taking notes.

BUT we also need to recognize that just because he or AOC can win in NYC does not mean it's a platform that works nationwide. Takes 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.

I get it. We all know that having unhoused people outside isn't good for business, at best it's neutral, at worst it puts people off.

But if you're running a business then you should be pushing the city (and helping to fund) programs to solve the problem, not just push people a block away.
They’re installing anti #homeless chain link fencing around the little plaza directly across from
the main entrance to Reading Terminal Market, in front of the notoriously anti-unhoused Downtown #Marriott. There’s now literally nowhere to sit anywhere near our biggest tourist attraction 🙄 #Philly
