This is a symptom of our political class being in Twatter too much. I am fucking furious about the flag shagging racists and they certainly have no ‘legitimate concerns’. I’m furious that Begum hasn’t been repatriated and charged and that we have tiered citizenship as well. We are many, they are few

That’s probably true. Thing is, nobody is voting on the day of a general election for, or against, foxes. Hardly any people have ever seen a hunt. So, this just isn’t the hill. It’s going to be about money in your pocket. Whoever kids you that they’re putting more in, wins. Simple as that.

Sorry for your loss.

We clearly aren’t going to agree on this. I’ve things to be getting on with. You enjoy the rest of your day.

Being Russian isn’t a crime. Some Russians are criminals. They would not get citizenship Membership of a terrorist group like the KKK would prohibit citizenship under the current arrangements. Mercifully, Farage isn’t likely to ever be in a position to make decisions on this sort of thing anyway.

It is racism I’m afraid. You’ve no evidence to support your claim at all do you?
December 29, 2025 at 1:05 PM
What evidence do you have that this is the case? And a criminal conviction would almost always lead to rejection of an application for citizenship. Especially if it was for terrorism. That’s information that you will find on the link I provided

Believing that there are tiers of Britishness and that one British citizen is more British than another certainly is. It wouldn’t be possible for a known terrorist to gain citizenship in any case.
December 29, 2025 at 12:58 PM
As you will see, it’s a complex process.

Same one as everyone else seeking citizenship as a foreign national has to go through. You can look it up on the internet. It includes providing a huge amount of paperwork and passing a somewhat odd quiz. Here’s a link for you. www.gov.uk/british-citi...
Check if you can become a British citizen
There are different ways to apply for British citizenship, including ‘naturalisation’. Check your eligibility to apply.

Also I’m not racist so I don’t mind foreign people becoming British citizens. I don’t think anyone should be allowed to commit crimes. This bloke is clearly very unpleasant and should be investigated.
December 29, 2025 at 12:49 PM
The government doesn’t do that. I can’t. There is a process to get citizenship. The government at the time you get it isn’t involved. If he’s committed a crime he should be arrested and charged. We aren’t a medieval society that exiles people we don’t like, however much you may wish we were.

*also 🤦🏻

Mind boggling how stupid some people are. Dale is gay. He imagines that the bigots will stop at the bigotry that suits him and not ever come after him. He’s alarmed claiming to be more British than the king, whose father of course was Greek.
December 29, 2025 at 12:40 PM
His citizenship confers all of the rights and responsibilities of being British. He’s as British as you are. You sound like a racist. This is the problem with @iaindale.bsky.social and others normalising this as a debate. If he’s committed a crime he should be investigated and charged.
December 29, 2025 at 12:31 PM
Which makes him British. If British citizenship was the only one he held, what would be the appropriate thing to do? If any British citizen said what he has said, what is the appropriate thing to do?

The people that really lose out are those that are obligated to work so that people can aimlessly wander around shops. Families who have a mixture of jobs also see less of one another.
December 29, 2025 at 11:51 AM
What would you see as an appropriate way to deal with a British citizen that expressed these views in Britain?

The conservative proposition is that there are outgroups that the law must bind but not protect and there are ingroups that the law must protect but not bind.

You’re not wrong. We have been conned into thinking that consumption for its own sake is inherently valuable. Silly of us. I much prefer the European tendency towards Sundays. It’s not terrifically difficult to go one day without shopping.
December 29, 2025 at 10:24 AM
Yup. Dangerous stuff. It creates tiers of citizens and plays into the hands of people with extremist views.

Honestly had no idea about her politics. I just thought she was an actress who then went big on animal rights. The obituaries will be interesting.
