it's interesting how ad blockers became essentially a soft boycott of horrible advertisements, and instead of backing off to avoid pushing users to essentially go out of their way to mod their browser to avoid that content, every company doubled-down

very short videos are just easier to "optimize" into your own personal hell of never-ending content. simple swipes, time spent watching, constant interaction. measure, adjust, repeat
i doubt they consider the implications more than "consumer choice" and probably look down on us for "choosing" it

Idk, it's interesting trying to come up with definitions of AI the way I grew up using it
I'd have to go from a user-experience-only angle. Probably just any part of a piece of software that attempts to mimic something an intelligent entity would do (regardless of success)?
