i hate it when you're in a GUI and it lets you do one of those continuous mouse drag selector things, and it's either free-form or it snaps to the *wrong* increments

One thing I don't tend to agree with is that "AI" is the wrong term for it. I feel like "AI" lost its "actual machine intelligence" connotations before I was even born. Like, "AI" doesn't even indicate the algorithm is particularly complex, just *kind of* the role it occupies(?)

giving in and setting up actual desktop speakers because i compulsively destroy wired headphones and there's just too much weird interference in this basement for wireless stuff

maintaining consistent speech patterns is exhausting. like, no, brain, we don't speak like columbo, no matter how fried/adhd we feel. "ent" isn't real, and doesn't mean "ain't" (which we don't even say). don't let too many of dad's (or tv's) british-isms slip thru, it sounds super fake.

someone just needs to make a social media client that dumps all of the platforms into a single interface, and every time they come up with a new one, we can sigh and add another account to the universal word box and immediately forget we use it

was having a little trouble reading the comments w/ my terminal color scheme, so I messed with it, and found that changing the tint on the transparent background from black to, like, blood red fixes everything

it's kinda interesting reading the nu shell guidebook and having a bunch of references to outputs for windows users. a bit of a wtf moment, but i suppose it would be nice to be able to not be totally lost on a windows machine, assuming i can get this on there, if i'm ever forced to use one
