From Day 3, where I started adding some art for the menu map. Day 4 I worked a lot more audio related polish, which was probably getting ahead of things, but I was eager to set the atmosphere. Videos coming soon.

Yesterday I pivoted and started work on a new project, aiming to release a vr horror game that utilizes the LLM integrations I’ve been getting into as an option- rather than as a main feature. After 30 days cooking, I’ll drop it, completed, on itch.io for $5.

Small scope. Heavy Atmosphere.

You’re limited by what you don’t know. If you’re vibe coding, you’re turning over everything to the model and whatever you can produce will be limited by whatever the model can cook up. Your brain is more efficient and creative than the most advanced enterprise models- put it to work and use both.

Packaging the latest build for Drift Bounty Blues 0.6 now.

With this update I fixed an LM Studio bug, introduced a new, more performant, map for the Moon Glaive, changed the training room to something larger with some enemies to combat. VR has access to most all ui elements as PC players sans chat.

After refactoring to use the new Responses API from OpenAI, I’m finding it to be *much* faster to maintain a local chat history as opposed to using the Assistant API and encapsulating each chat session into a Thread. The responses have been so fast, it might as well be a local model.

One of the biggest problems with being a solo developer, is that when you’re not feeling it and you’re not rocking at 100%, your effort still reflects 100% of what gets done. You become the single point of failure, for better or worse.

Serious projects need a serious team.

Sounds like it’s time to upgrade Ami and Drift Bounty Blues to both use o3-mini.

If you suggest an idea for things you want an autonomous ai agent to do for you- and if I like your idea- I'll include it in the free version of Ami 0.4.

I want to hear what other people care about. What makes a personalized AI assistant useful to you? Keep in mind, this is based on PC (for now).

I'll put more emphasis on the Generative AI part of my skillset, so I made a new project that focuses strictly on AI Agent development inside of Unreal Engine, where I can practice and showcase some ML techniques and LLM architectures as I learn them.

Robot Punch servers are down and will stay down for a while. Hard to justify the expense at the moment ($600/mo) but they will one day return. I'm restructuring a default API so that in 0.5 you won't need to worry about setting up your own API keys. Patreon members will just download and play.

What can I say? I like my main menus to be dynamic and constantly in motion. What do you think of my companion lineup? 0.4.3 has 5 possible characters to choose as your XO, with a 6th being added in 0.5

Currently I'm working on the FPS combat system and a ui for VR players to talk to the chatbots.
