Days after delivering an incoherent rant in the Oval Office this week, Trump will travel to North Carolina today to continue spinning his failing first year in office. But no matter how hard he tries, he can’t hide from the lousy economy and rising consumer prices—largely due to his harmful tariffs.

Trump’s drive to secure peace in Ukraine must not let Putin off the hook for war crimes committed by Russian forces, warned the EU commissioner for justice and democracy, effectively setting a new red line for a deal.

This isn’t Moscow or Beijing. It’s Chicago. Masked federal agents grabbed U.S. citizens protesting ICE and threw them into an unmarked van.

“Who are you? Where are you taking them?” people shouted. “You are kidnapping them!”

Still trying to understand the Hyundai ICE raid. Supposedly a months-long investigation that... picked up people here on visas, permanent residents, and U.S. citizens?

I also haven't seen anyone charged under 8 USC §1324a for hiring undocumented employees.

This morning, me in the @nytimes.com, discussing why the attacks on Governor Cook, the ONLY woman of color to join the Fed's Board of Governors, is a perfect example of how the individual costs women of color face TODAY become societal costs for everyone tomorrow.

This is #TheDoubleTax. #blacksky
Long before she joined the Fed, Lisa Cook stood out in a field dominated by white men. She talked about how her experience with racism informed her approach to economics.
Now, she is Trump’s latest target in his effort to exert more control over the central bank.

Here is how the media should be reporting this morning's news.

As part of a growing pattern of political retribution, Donald Trump's FBI has raided the home of a prominent administration critic. In this instance it happens to be John Bolton. The pretense is largely irrelevant.

"You are the Nazi. You are the Gestapo," Wise yelled.

Trump dismissed Wise's Jan. 6 case, and the DOJ hired him as a senior adviser.

We got the bodycam video showing Wise on Jan. 6.
