Indecipherable screeching. Once: Game writing at Game Informer (Intern), Paste, places you never heard of. Now: Game, 3D art, and IRL tinkering.
I have acquired the grail

This is next level creepy bullshit on the part of Ziff Davis. "You can opt out, but we're not even going to let you do it via checking these boxes. Instead you need to fill out a form, or we'll literally spy on you." Go hit yourself in the balls with a mace, is the response I'm vibing with here.

The West's degeneracy knows no bounds.

This would be way more effective as a headline if PC Gamer didn't have a staff member who wrote a whole piece rejoicing about how AI was going to put pretentious artists out of a job and allow him to finally enjoy games without their input. What a heinously cynical outlet.

I've reached what I call "fuck it, I want to do something fun" phase, and have started in on this little charging station.

I'm very comfortable saying that developers who rely on anti-cheat with dangerously low level system access, essentially spyware / ransomware, they forfeit any right to tut tut people over security issues, because they're creating an unfathomably large attack vector for a video game.

So, aside from the obvious faux nostalgia nonsense, what is up with this video YouTube really wants me to watch. It's suggested it with at least half a dozen different thumbnails now. Is that a thing on the creator side where you can upload alternatives or is dude just on one?

Little known fact about Blender is that you have to perform most operations from Objec Mrde
November 22, 2025 at 10:51 PM
I'm over here just plugging shit into other shit and truly achieving spectacularly novel ways to break Blender's viewport tonight, presumably because I'm on an ancient GTX 1050Ti laptop and Arch Linux and have no idea what I'm doing.
November 22, 2025 at 10:42 PM
At some point I will squirrel away enough time to be done blocking this out. Maybe tonight.
November 22, 2025 at 9:15 PM
This bit from the Kevin Roose and Casey Newton interview of Roblox CEO is unbelievably absurd from so many different vectors.
November 22, 2025 at 4:29 AM
Started adding a few more secondary details and whipped up a quick cutout material for this to test things out. Slowed somewhat by the fact that my laptop is ancient and glacially slow, but satisfied with this as a start.

Finally, for the first time in ages, back on my modeling bullshit. This needs some more fucked up boxes and cables and a ground. And also I'm functionally incapable of actually making it entirely through blockout without doing something detailed, so I made an SVG profile as a test for the moulding.

Idk man, seems kinda overboard to have a hockey highlight that runs 30 seconds of ads every 1.5 minutes.
November 9, 2025 at 5:13 PM
Blender is absolutely cooked to shit on anything running hyprland right now. This is not a themed version of blender, this is what hyprland is displaying.

I still think Zed's patronizing "you really should use AI before you decide you don't want to" spiel on their website is insulting bullshit, but the fact that the AI shit goes away when you turn it off and the outline panel in the sidebar have sold me on never opening VSCode again.

It does say (future) on the website, but if they launch the desktop app without those hooks then it might actually be extremely feasible. They definitely want it though:

This is some absolute S tier bullshit. No, in fact, I do not want to "build" with your dog shit "agent mode". This isn't even main VS Code, it's the OSS fork, this is supposed to be the light weight version. Why the fuck is this shit in here by default?
October 28, 2025 at 12:17 AM
I have slightly miscalculated on the length needed for the handle of my Bob Barker microphone. Also I am just straight ass at designing threads.
October 26, 2025 at 1:09 AM
This is an absolutely diabolical diagram to find in a manual for an arcade cab. The only "parts" here being the entire assembly and a potentiometer is actually unhinged. There's wear components in there, and they're like "idk replace the whole thing".
October 17, 2025 at 12:34 AM
So how do I get the money to turn this into a track mounted T shirt multi-launch thing?
October 13, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Unironically what are we doing here man? In what obscene reality does Hades have any sort of duty to accurately portrayed some of the most overworked narrative in human history? This is the same impulse towards supposed, non-existent accuracy that statue weirdos go on about.
October 9, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Still not sure how we got here from this:
October 9, 2025 at 2:34 AM
Thanks to @papapishu.bsky.social writing about it on Aftermath I am now in the process of making "the microphone". Finally. We'll see how the soldering goes.

Giving up on football is already yielding results. One day I will pay for not properly parametrizing or naming things in my CAD files, but today is not that day. (It's probably tomorrow.)
