i think theyll benefit just on the fact they had the worst run org in sports but i dont think byrnes is a new edge or anything. but anythings better than now.

i think money matters a lot there. they have a limitless supply of development and scouting options. i dont think hes an idiot and this ups the bar from before but i think those drafts look great because the dodgers have the resources to make them look great.

Yeah, the Bridich years felt like an insane combo of Dick wanting to recreate this era and also JB thinking he was the smartest guy in the room and trying to out-clever the league. See: the drafts taking famous yet risky profiles to appease both sides

DOD certainly had them in a better place in terms of actually having stars on the roster. his faults were many but bridich and schmidt were unaware of how to even build an organization.

safe to say I don’t share a ton of the excitement in the Rockies bringing home a guy that has yet to have any sustained success outside of being able to manage a farm system with infinite resources. But I guess it’s better than just re hiring Bill Geivett

as much as i wanna place full blame on the rockies, rolison's body seemed to just not want to make it work. he got a full season in 2019 and then just could not get more than 70 innings.
