I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

If you worked for 18F and got fired, Group together to start a consulting company.

It’s just a matter of time before DOGE needs you to fix the mess they inevitably create.

They will have to hire your company as a contractor to fix it. But on your terms.

I’m happy to invest and/or help

This makes me so happy. It is why we do what we do. Everyone can be a reader if they find something of interest.
6 months ago my 7 year old daughter did not enjoy reading on her own. Then she discovered these books about dragons.

Tonight she finished BOOK 15, the series finale. They are ~300 pages each. I am blown away by this feat and very proud of her.

Also now she loves dragons which makes me happy 💚

The Proud Boys organization no longer controls the trademark, “Proud Boys”, and is now “barred from selling any merchandise with either its name or its symbols without the consent of a Black church in Washington that its members vandalized.”

Proud Boys Lose Control of Their Name to a Black Church They Vandalized

Dude cmon. They are not playing by the rules. Why are you? NY stand up!
If the Treasury Secretary does not remove DOGE’s access to the Treasury payment systems at once:

Congress must immediately act.

That is why Rep. Jeffries and I will work together on legislation to stop unlawful meddling in the Treasury Department’s payment systems.

I am begging every Democratic committee, PAC, and candidate to get control of your damn email program right now and stop sending tone deaf fundraising emails that have nothing to do with what's happening. Stop listening to focus groups from a month ago. Stop the 2 approved talking points.

We have a cabal in power who are disregarding laws passed by Congress simply because they don’t like or agree with them.

We are about to witness this cabal ignoring court rulings for the same reason.

These are impeachable offenses, in violation of Art. II Take Care and Oath clauses

Good. Do it.
Time to turn off the taps.
Not a single bottle of American wine, beer or bourbon should be sold anywhere in Canada.
From here on in I will only drink "freedom" wines from Canada, France or Spain.
As for the beer? It's shit anyways.

I hate it here. But they are not wrong. I live in one of these Godforsaken states and I’m all for it. Hit us where it hurts. And Blue states, stop supporting us. Put the squeeze on the red states. #tariffs

Non profit? How do we make this happen?
If you are a small to med size business, would you rather buy health insurance from the big insurance companies, or from a new Non Profit Healthcare program offered by the biggest Unions ?

There’s a convergence happening right now with two threads that have been mainstreamed in the GOP and now have power: white nationalists and the Yarwinist broligarchy. White nationalists are trying to foment a civil war. Yarwinist techbros want to break the system and take over. Same means to end

They are not trying to govern. I can’t believe people really think they intend to follow any rules or norms. Smh. This is an info grab and robbery.
Move fast and break things is not a responsible way to govern.

But the problem is, you all are acting as if they are playing by the rules. They’re not. So nothing else matters.
Idgaf I’m still fighting for guaranteed healthcare.

Aspiration is the answer. Not just “we’re not the bad guys.”

We need something more meaningful than that. I want a future worth fighting for. They have no vision. We do. Lean into our strengths and knock them out. 👊🏽

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

They’re testing. It wasn’t a “glitch” that turned off Medicaid portals. They’re seeing which things they can delete without a fight.

Vets benefits? Abuse shelters? Aid to children? Cancer research?

They don’t care who gets hurt. Just what they can get away with.

Keep. Fighting. Back.

1. The executive orders did *not* freeze federal funding.

2. The Monday OMB memo *did* freeze federal funding.

3. OMB rescinded Monday’s memo, thereby rescinding the funding freeze.

4. The EOs (which did not freeze federal funding) are still in effect—and, for these purposes, irrelevant.

Sigh.

The catch-22 is that states try to cap premiums to protect their residents. When they do so, they distort the economics that have changed as a result of climate change, leading to them no longer offering coverage.

This is an area the Dems can own by focusing on insurance destruction and inflation
So insurers talk publicly about the cost of climate change, the cost to them, and ultimately their customers; while our government will not. The customers of our government are its citizens. They deserve and should demand to be informed first and then protected.
