Welcome, new followers! I specialize in preserving Japanese feature phone (keitai) games. For 4 years, I've helped preserve hundreds of previously-lost keitai games, covering series like Mega Man to FFVII.
For more about me, here's a presentation I gave at the Strong Museum: tinyurl.com/3xyese5c
Preserved copies of Before Crisis: FFVII and Rockman DASH: Great Adventure on 5 Islands

ICYMI, after 7 months of work, @aid1043.bsky.social finished their English translation patch for all eight Kingdom Hearts Mobile keitai minigames! Preserved last year, this patch even contains recreations of cut content, like bonus puzzles and downloadable cards! (Video credit to Aid)

It was for a score attack competition, I believe. And yes, all preserved keitai games are playable through Keitai World Launcher.

After 7 months of work, my latest project: a full English patch of Kingdom Hearts Mobile! You can play all 8 of these previously-lost mini-games, in English for the first time.

There's puzzle games, card games, rhythm games, and more, and even canon lore!

Dokodemo Dodgeball Fantasia (どこでもドッジボ−ルファンタジア) was a dodgeball RPG released for keitai in 2006. Yes, you read that right! It's got a coming-of-age story and a real time battle system. We preserved this game earlier this year, and it's incredibly unique.

R.O.B. - Ride on the Beat!! was preserved by @yuvi.app! Released in 2005 for keitai, this is a 3D rhythm game where you ride a hoverboard and change lanes to the beat of the music. It's pretty fun! The 3D graphics are also quite good for a 2005 keitai game.

Finally, Keitai Archive has a comprehensive FAQ with further clarification about our mission, including our non-profit intentions (we do not accept monetary donations) and forms for takedown requests. Thank you for continuing to support keitai game preservation! (6/6)

Fourth, Keitai Wiki isn't going anywhere! It has always been for documenting game information, while Keitai Archive is more focused on the technical side of keitai game preservation. The Keitai Wiki Discord server has been renamed "Keitai World" to encompass both entities. (5/6)

Third, Keitai Archive will not distribute commercially-available keitai games, such as games that are on G-MODE Archives. This is to support publishers who rerelease their keitai games, as well as to avoid possible litigation from said publishers. (4/6)

Second, Keitai Archive will have a quarterly-updating archive.org repo of abandonware keitai games and media. Newly-preserved games will still be accessible through Keitai World Launcher. You can find this repo here: archive.org/details/@kei... (3/6)

First, Keitai Archive aims to have a GitHub repo for the tools used in keitai game preservation work. This includes file system extraction, file conversion, and other tools to access media on Japanese feature phones. This repo is a WIP, but we are actively working on it. (2/6)

Introducing @keitaiarchive.bsky.social, a website for Japanese feature phone game preservation resources. As keitai game preservation grows, we want our tools and preserved abandonware media to be as accessible as possible. Read on for more information! (1/6)

I understand your concerns, and I agree that supporting G-MODE is incredibly important. For that reason, Keitai Archive has a policy to never distribute any game that G-MODE has already rereleased. This saves us from potential legal action, and it encourages people to support the official releases.

Cuebus and I preserved Konami Wai Wai Sōkoban (コナミワイワイ倉庫番), a keitai-exclusive #Konami puzzle game! It features characters from various Konami games. A year ago, I found the phone that this game originated on, but the screen was broken. Cuebus managed to dump it today.

Thanks to Cuebus's chipoff dump of the 911T, the trial version of Armored Core Mobile 3 has been preserved! This is the SoftBank Yahoo Keitai version. Preloaded on the 911T, #ArmoredCore Mobile 3's trial lets you play through a few missions.

DoDonPachi DaiOuJou DX Reco.ver (大往生DX-レコver.-) was preserved by Yuuku! Only sold on December 30, 2007, this is a score competition variant of DoDonPachi DaiOuJou DX. Given how it was only available for one day, this may be one of the rarest i-mode games preserved so far.
rockmancosmo.bsky.social
The original i-mode release of #Bomberman 3D was preserved by @yuvi.app! Released in 2004, the game has fully 3D stages with multiple elevations. Its EZweb, Yahoo Keitai, and international J2ME releases have also been preserved to various extents.

That's so cool! I agree, they were very much prequel vtubers. If you need assistance with extracting/viewing the 3D models, don't hesitate to reach out; these old file formats can get a little confusing at times.
rockmancosmo.bsky.social
Hey! Yeah, feel free to use it on here! If you want to play around with them (and all the other chara-den we've preserved), you can access them through Keitai World Launcher! keitaiarchive.org/downloads.html

You know what's even crazier? Online rankings for a keitai game from 2003! The game is called Kobun Ga Tobun, and we preserved it earlier this year.
rockmancosmo.bsky.social
Yeah! The Missions got three keitai-exclusive sequels, including this one. We also preserved the trial version of The Stories, which follows The Missions. The second sequel, The Episodes, still remains lost. It's a shame that the other three games weren't brought to Western feature phones.

The game surprisingly used assets from the Resident Evil GameCube remake, which greatly helped the data reconstruction efforts. There's also a partial English patch, thanks to @snowyaria.bsky.social and @shentok.com! Read more details in Yuvi's post: bsky.app/profile/yuvi... (2/2)

Biohazard: The Operations
Recovered from an F904i I recently acquired. I had to create a server and recreate the whole Spencer Mansion one scene at a time! The game is 95% complete!

We made a partial English patch thanks to @snowyaria.bsky.social, @shentok.com, and myself
