Life-long Democrat and Colorado native posting from northern Colorado.

Nancy Mace retiring?

That would be a darn shame.

Does she know that Xmas trees, tinsel, candles, etc. are pagan traditions?

Here in Colorado, we are great at telling people to 'take a hike. 🤣

I was just behind you in age.

$5 was a lot of money back then.

We had 4" this morning and more coming down, but it is melting pretty fast.

This arrogant smug POS loves to say stuff like this.

Poor people live in red states because there are fewer opportunities. Blue states cost more because WE ACTUALLY HAVE JOBS.

You are joking, right?

The USA has no leaders.
December 3, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Yes, they are necessary and we all use them and benefit from them.

Dismissing all of the environmental impacts is shortsighted.

This is the same thinking that allowed mines and factories to pollute rivers.

Are we having a strawman argument party?

I don't eat hamburger and that is silly response to this conversation.

Almond trees also use water.

Regardless, data centers using as much as a small city in water is a real concern, not to be dismissed.

Even my previous large dog did not like the snow.

I would take him out front when I shoveled and within minutes he would be standing there with one paw in the air wanting to go back in.

Oh heck. Let's just pull numbers out of the air.

That's ok if you are chatting over the fence with your neighbor.
It is not OK if you are representing the government.

"Large data centers can consume up to 5 million gallons per day, equivalent to the water use of a town populated by 10,000 to 50,000 people."

I could bombard you with numerous reports about the water usage by data centers.

It is a real issue.

Hey, I was out shoveling at 6 am!

I do a lot of walking and I growl at all the people that don't bother to shovel. Even a small amount of snow can get trampled and turn into ice. It is dangerous.
