I've written a manifesto showing that restricting access and payments of adult content is not the right solution, and that I propose a series of demands for another way of treating this issue that is fairer and better for everyone, children and adults alike.

The problem isn't that there are concerns. It's simply revalidating whatever they believe in. Plus social pressure will put you to change your beliefs so as to not be alone.
So even though I agree with you, society pushes people to believe follow = endorsement.

We humans are such cabbageheads.

A friend of mine was hired at a company which uses their own self-hosted AI tools a few weeks ago.

Banning the porn industry isn't going to bring an end to sex trafficking. In fact the demand for it might remain so high that existing producers may take a gamble with illegal slavery practices.

After all if it's already illegal, why bother wasting money in providing respectful working conditions?

Another objection is that the pornographic industry is closely tied to human trafficking. This is highly disputed.

Certain branches of the adult industry don't rely on real life sex, and the vast majority are there by choice. While "decent" industries can give rise to pro-slavery sweatshops.

It's going to be inevitable that, if you're going to fight for anti censorship of adult content, you'll be considered a horny bitch.

"Not my pooooorn" is what people could have us crying in their heads. As if we were addicts. This is as false as people going to war because they like violence.

Still, this sucks a lot.
All this time I thought the "2.0" referred to the second reading of the law, not the first.
In the first reading there are no deadlines so if approved by the Parliament, the Council can either take their sweet ass time, or rush it to decide what to do with it.

Sorry, I got it all wrong.
The European Parliament is the first one to have a say on the law. If approved as it is it then goes to the EU Council.

They might propose changes but that'd go through a second hearing.
Trilogues are optional and mainly try to tie loose ends from both the Council and EP.
