Yesterday I celebrated my swansong with family & friends at my book
launch. Huge thanks to all those who attended who were aged 2.5 years to a few in the upper mature ranges. We had a lovely time being shown round Mary Hare Primary School for the Deaf who so generously hosted the launch.

That's not 'the soft bigotry of low expectations' it's just being realistic about the level of complexity going on for people working in education atm. Literally nobody wants more bloody tests or those complicated Ofsted score cards. 🤦‍♀️

What would I do if I had any influence on education policy?

Well first I would tell the DfE to calm down on the demands and the 'driving up' of everything because the people I meet on the ground are all telling me that meeting actual children's needs must come first. ⬇️ #EduSky
