I once found Ronnie Corbett wandering around the scenery dock, looking for a way out. No idea how long he'd been there. Quite possibly months. I delivered him safely to the canteen.

As an example, Farage needs to be asked about the suggestion made by Kruger that half the Reform cabinet will be people brought in from outside Parliament and put in the House of Lords. At what stage of the election process will they say who these might be?

They would be: Ernest John Gilkes b. 1882 Served in the Imperial Yeomanry. d. Mool River, South Africa 1902. George William Gilkes b. 1891 Served also in the RFA. Survived the war. His son was named for Frank. Died 1942.

The court report from April 1916 of the arrest of Frank for being an absentee from the RFA quotes his father as saying that he had lost one son and another was in France.

Correction: One of his great-grandsons.

I've found a family tree on Ancestry which has a photo of Frank's headstone. The tree appears to belong to one of John Gilkes' grandsons.

I think that Ethel was Ethel May and used the name May. She married William Whiting in 1910 and by 1921 they had three children. William died in 1927. May remarried in 1959 to a Reginald Veale.

Are you looking particularly for a descendant of May?
