you know what's interesting is i don't often reach out to people just to say hey because i didn't want to be a bother.

I've somehow built into my psyche the idea that even reminding people i exist is somehow an inconvenience to them.

i think that's partly why i go dormant on discord

Disabled people can’t “just move” to escape fascism.

Moving requires resources, money and health that most of us don’t have.

Many countries won’t accept disabled people, especially if they have universal healthcare.

People are trapped, so we must fight for them.

I wish someone had told me this. I destroyed my mind. Constantly looking inwards-- if I act correctly I will get the help I need, and then punishing MYSELF when it didn't work, internalizing it as personal failure, forming a self-image of ineptitude when it was actually a failure of support.

It shouldn't have been on you as a kid to figure out how to reach out for help or express your pain in ways that would get appropriately responded to by the adults in your life.

It WAS on them to not punish or embarrass you for reaching out or expressing yourself.

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.
