A couple weeks ago I thought the coolest thing about my 40th birthday would be it falling on the full moon. But then I got on XHS the night before (already my birthday in China) to see we were being welcome as “TT refugees” & such great cultural exchanges taking place. It gives me hope.

A couple weeks ago I thought the coolest thing about my 40th birthday would be it falling on the full moon. But then I got on XHS the night before (already my birthday in China) to see we were being welcome as “TT refugees” & such great cultural exchanges taking place. It gives me hope.
When the 18th began I thought I’d get til 10:59p to finish draft dumping then heard it’d be 8:30ET. About 15 min after I couldn’t post. After temp glitches I could at least save unposted drafts, watch, & comment. When I set it aside to eat I knew it might be over for me. I returned at 10:29p & was.

Since the U.S. pretends it gives AF about China having our data instead of being honest they want control, I got on #Xiaohongshu aka #RedNote. It’ll be a perfect place to share my progress in the Chinese Brush Painting class I’m in. It’s already my birthday in China 🥳 so it gave me this cute post.

Barbie was great. So many tears on screen and real life. Now my partner and I are watching Dune 2 & I had to have them catch me up. I watched Dune. But my dissociative self doesn’t remember. #DissociativeSystemProblems #DateNight

Finally about to watch Barbie. Sadly without the ASL interpretation because I don’t have Max. It should be an option wherever it streams IMO. Hopefully the captions will at least be on point. 🤞🏼 #Deafie #CAPD #BarbieMovie #AccessibilityMatters

Happy New Year! I have to work tonight but refused that to be how I ring in the new year, so I took a break to hang with my partner for a bit then opened Sketchbox & played with the supplies*. I did everything directly on the paper, but next time I’ll probably use a palette & maybe better lighting.

The winter solstice seemed an apt time to finally post here. I planned to answer a question from a sticky note my partner had put on our fridge awhile ago: Who is the Rogue Multiverse? But I found it impossible to adequately, even minimally, answer in 300 characters. So this is already going great 😆
