Look at small indie presses too. There are lots of smaller publishers who take risks like @sublunary.bsky.social and co. Look beyond the mainstream.

You should enter them into competitions. Don’t let fees stop you, look out for ones where you can apply for a free submission or a bursary. And think internationally. The US is more open-minded about quirky lit. Really do your research. Make a list. Look at Australia too.
