Went into Hodges Figges to ask about the new Seamus Heaney and they told me they wouldn’t have it in tomorrow and that it could be D-A-Y-S before they had it in stock.

Which felt apocalyptic.

Hoping Books Upstairs will have it.

It has been wonderful to see this image of Seamus Heaney in his study circulating ahead of the launch of his new collection.

The books seen here are some of the many which will be housed in our new Seamus Heaney Poetry Library at No. 11 Parnell Square.

We can’t wait to share them with you all.📖

For work, I am writing blogs posts on this - it’s so well-written, very easy to read and utterly fascinating

I’ve also started writing a series of poems inspired by the lives of some of the women mentioned in it

I, however,
Have such meagre power,

Clutching at a
Moment,

While you control
An hour.

But your hour is
A stone.

My moment is
A flower.

#everynightapoem As ever.
I have done so little
For you.
And you have do little
For me.
That we have good reason
Never to agree.

I, however,
Have such meagre power,
Clutching at a
Moment,
While you control
An hour.
But your hour is
A stone.
My moment is
A flower.

This male Snowcap #hummingbird was taking a break to preen a bit yesterday at @tapirvalley.bsky.social #CostaRica

A small hummingbird with deep magenta and violet plumage is perched on a branch, fluffing its feathers. Its head is turned to the side, showing a bright white forehead and a long, slender bill, set against a soft green background.
