Some book clubs do pay authors to do zoom meetings with them. But some book clubs that do so also say problematic things to the author (this happened to someone I know recently) so it's not necessarily a good things to do in any case, and now with the scammers, authors should be extremely wary.

FYI - when my other half and I had to call on Sunday the response time was pretty fast. 911/EMS was fast too. That said, we didn't know it was 811 now and had to figure that out. The DoFo government has wreaked havoc on Ontario's healthcare system but some things still do work at least for now.

It's only in French (I'm reading it now). There's been no translation deal as of yet.
