It's probably just a coincidence that 'Escape from Alcatraz' aired multiple times on a local South Florida station just as our TV-obsessed president was staying at Mar-a-Lago and suddenly decided that the prison needed to be reopened.

We have been glued to the local news. As social media becomes less and less useful for breaking news and real time info, it’s been such a reminder of how valuable the reporters and production folks on the ground are.
KCAL channel 9 has been doing a great job with their coverage.
