My boy wanted an “I ❤️ Beaver” t-shirt when we made a pit-stop there this summer. He couldn’t figure out why dad was laugh-crying after he asked, “Dad, why do people love beavers here? They’re just wet and hairy and eat wood. That’s so weird right?”
Could. Not. Breathe. 🤣 Apparently I’m forever 14yo

Gonna be extra painful if our government doesn’t reopen before we head into the holiday travel period. *Of course* everyone is going to take it out on the airline staff: ticketing and gate agents, flight attendants, security, etc.
Just be kind to each other; have patience & extend grace to others.

Ohhhh. I like this. Just picked up a new iPad and have been thinking about getting a coloring app. Looks like this one is Zen Color? You like it?

Also - if you’re not already listening to the new NPR podcast “Sources & Methods” - discussing NatSec issues - I’m really enjoying it.

A most excellent follow-up to this is the book “Nuclear War: A Scenario” by Annie Jacobsen. Incredibly written and brilliantly researched w/ her many sources. I even listened to it having already read it, once it was available via Libby. I can’t recommend this one enough. Terrifying and fascinating

Didn’t praise the bottom one either. Not sure why anyone would think either were a good idea.

And they STILL jack up the prices for record profits. As long as the shareholders are happy, they couldn’t care less that their “candy” tastes like absolute dog shit. I won’t even eat a Hershey bar that my son was given trick-or-treating anymore. It’s a trick, and not a treat. Nasty fake chocolate.

Well - I’ve had to pick up a second job for the first time in decades, so not super great. I’m happy to be contributing to the education of special needs young minds now, but my free time - already at a minimum - has nearly completely vanished.

I think it was my college roommate who popped in “Rave till Dawn” that got me. But I’m old.
Also…I was curious what year Sandstorm was released (it’s 1999/2000). I go to Wikipedia just to see what they have to say. Ohh - I can play a sample <clicks play> - subtitles are on? And I’m now in tears😂.
