I’ll be 84 years old next month.
Never in my long life did I think the greatest threat to our country would come from a fellow American. This is a stress test for our democracy which will be 250 years old next July. I am confident we will survive this test. Good will triumph over evil.

Not one general applauded Hegseth or Trump although they clearly wanted applause. Rest assured Trump and Hegseth are now considering firing every one of them. Say this for the generals, they showed more backbone than every single Republican member of congress.
