The Jewish Council calls on the re-elected Albanese government to immediately sanction Israel and comply with our obligations under the Genocide Convention and international law. This includes cutting all economic, military and diplomatic ties with Israel.

The Jewish Council calls on the re-elected Albanese government to immediately sanction Israel and comply with our obligations under the Genocide Convention and international law. This includes cutting all economic, military and diplomatic ties with Israel.

We hope that Australia's UN vote to demand the end of Israel’s “unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory as rapidly as possible” signals a shift in Australia’s foreign policy towards refusing to excuse Israel’s overwhelming violence and human rights violations against Palestinians.
