Maybe someone can explain this to me in small words. Consumer spending comprises about 70 percent of GDP. What happens to consumer spending if AI eliminates most consumers' jobs? And why are the supposedly smart folks on Wall Street not thinking about this?

I suppose the DHS social media folks would rather make up numbers than look up facts on their own website. But the last time DHS reported deportation stats, they were deporting about 100,000 people per year for crimes. Not millions. A hundred thousand. ohss.dhs.gov/topics/immig...

We need to stop blaming Chuck Schumer. He is a symptom, not the cause. Senate Dems give up the fight because they don't want to fight, not because of Schumer's alleged or real failings. Even a reincarnated LBJ couldn't make these people fight.
