Rep. Thompson never raises his voice. He never gets sarcastic. He just asks the next logical question. And he keeps asking until it becomes obvious that the guy from the Trump admin doesn't have real answers.

Man who swore to uphold Constitution doesn't know definition of treason, which is specifically defined in the Constitution.

I wonder how many tech billionaires took a single history class in college. Maybe read a book, or even a few pages about the French Revolution.

Tired: Checks and balances. Wired: Unitary executive theory.

Sen. Tom Cotton will write a NYT op-ed justifying it.

Watch for it. The first event in the White House ballroom will be a screening of a digital restoration of "The Birth of a Nation." The billionaires in attendance will thrill to scenes of klansmen riding to the rescue of white women.

This guy has obviously read Strunk @ White and observed their famous Rule 13: "Omit needless words." Nicely done, Congressman Ryan, nicely done.

With Trump, everything is for sale. Let's name the replacement for the East Wing "The Michael Corleone Ballroom."

Maybe someone can explain this to me in small words. Consumer spending comprises about 70 percent of GDP. What happens to consumer spending if AI eliminates most consumers' jobs? And why are the supposedly smart folks on Wall Street not thinking about this?

The Grant administration would like a word.

Just speculating, but Hegseth's order might have contributed to the decision by Admiral Alvin Holsey, head of Southern Command, to resign the next month.

I suppose the DHS social media folks would rather make up numbers than look up facts on their own website. But the last time DHS reported deportation stats, they were deporting about 100,000 people per year for crimes. Not millions. A hundred thousand. ohss.dhs.gov/topics/immig...
Table 42. Noncitizen Removals by Criminal Status and Region and Country of Nationality: Fiscal Years 2013 to 2022

Coming soon to the CDC website: Miasma was rejected too quickly as a cause of disease. We will bring our gold-standard science to reconsider miasma and its potentially deadly consequences.

Maybe he can use one of those cards to finally get a pierogi on Martha's Vineyard.

What is the recidivism rate among the J6 pardon recipients? That might make a good ad for the Dems in the midterms - the party that *really* cares about crime.

Yeah. The 2019 Hillman Prize for Newspaper Journalism went to Julie K. Brown and Emily Michot of the Miami Herald.

The Roman general Crassus made his fortune this way -- recruited a fire fighting company, brought it to the scene of a fire, offered to buy the property from the owner and then, and only then, put out the fire. If the owner refused, he let the house burn. Who needs fire insurance?

We need to stop blaming Chuck Schumer. He is a symptom, not the cause. Senate Dems give up the fight because they don't want to fight, not because of Schumer's alleged or real failings. Even a reincarnated LBJ couldn't make these people fight.

That worked so well for the GOP governor candidate in Virginia.
