Before you say the journalist should sue, I have two words for your: "Qualified immunity." I mean, how could the ICE guys know if a court has ruled that it's illegal to hogtie a journalist because she's doing her job? And if no court has ever ruled *exactly* that, they're probably home free.

A respectful dissent: The Republicans believe they can hold onto power for years to come. Even if they lose the House in 2026, they can resist oversight. And if Dems take the White House in 2028, well, the USA has never been good at retribution. Just ask the Confederacy.

They believe they're in to stay. That's the real purpose of the gerrymanders in TX, MO, and elsewhere - to prevent the Dems from taking the House in the midterms and set up a sweep in 2028. Then they can appoint a 7th or even an 8th justice in 2029. Permanent control.

SCOTUS said Trump can get away with crimes. With his executive orders on tariffs, birthright citizenship and now on burning the flag, soon we'll get to see if the Court lets him make laws too. "A republic if you can keep it."

Yeah, and she was then accepted into Cambridge's doctoral program. I think she was the first (and maybe the only) person to earn a Ph.D. from Cambridge without getting a bachelor's degree.

So before Comey's attorney -- a heavyweight former US Attorney who convicted two Illinois governors -- even gets to the merits of the indictment, he could bring an Alina Habba-type challenge against Lindsey Halligan and say she had no authority to bring an indictment? And then the statute runs?
