That’s a pretty solid observation. I am trying to understand the financial incentive though… they could have my money for both tabletop *and* digital play of Pioneer! Now I’m just not playing outside of Commander at all bc there is no Gathering for the Magic.

It took YEARS for the Explorer format to become Pioneer, and for a long while leading up to when we finally got it, curation and support for the format was sequentially dropped.

I would like a format that I can play both digitally and at my LGS. You can argue that there is Modern, but I would argue that it should be playable on MTG Arena, not MTGO, as it is much more appealing software.

Very annoying how often they do not include the mounts as the creature type, especially in the FF set with characters riding Chocobos. Though, I guess we would then have a a lot more Human Horse X creatures

Also can we talk about how nonsensical the MTG distinction is between a Warrior and Soldier
