I literally have skin in the game.
I work in this complex. I have received literally thousands of death threats in the past six months. Many of them egged on by Kirk, Libsoftiktok, and other right wing accounts.
I expect to be one of the people this all gets much worse for sooner than later.

Good article, but I disagree we are "no longer" a nation who bla bla. Those were the myths. When you write:
"Perhaps we will never again be able to see ourselves as the greatest nation on earth"
We never were. I mean, extra rights for white males was baked into our founding laws, after all.
