Amazing night celebrating progressive wins in North Seattle. 150 advocates, organizers, funders, volunteers and just voters from every corner of the progressive ecosystem.

It was a joy to celebrate and to prep ourselves for the fight ahead to win the D5 seat, where big money will try to stop us.

Seattle will not sit down. Abolish ICE and prosecute all of them who have broken the law.

Jared Polis is forever disqualified for President. The same idiocy that got us into Iraq?

We all hope for the best for Venezuelans & feel solidarity with them. Maduro is a repressive criminal. But a criminally unconstitutional invasion of a country for their oil is never something to celebrate.

Katie Wilson leads by 1346 votes!

And it happened! @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social has taken the lead by a little under 100 votes!

Watching Senate Centrists surrender like they are Seattle's Mayor negotiating with our police union is unbelievably maddening.

Such unbearably weak, ineffective "leaders."

BELLWEATHER ALERT!

“For Republican voters, it’s important to turn out because a win by Democrats will tell Democrats nationally that there’s blood in the water,” said Georgia GOP strategist...[we] have every incentive to show up in mass vote tribally."

The postwar stuff is mostly nice too! Added in some single family to show the relationship.

16th AVE E on Cap Hill in Seattle —so many beautiful pre war buildings that fit seamlessly with the single family homes.

Over on Insta - @joemallahan.bsky.social has a video that should disqualify Harrell from ever being in office again.

We don't need someone who stands with abusers, time after time, and makes jokes to deflect responsibility for it.

Vote for Katie Wilson

Damning video on @joemallahan.bsky.social's instagram account. @bruceharrell.bsky.social's "experience" is what? Failing at his job? Creating a hostile workplace? Elevating a man into power who is now under investigation for rape?

No thanks.

That Girmay has clearly predominated at every stage of delivery, despite the fact that those stages are not completely over - justifies this language, especially in the short-form medium.

I'd add that "launching" meets the third definition as well, if we want to be punctilious about language.

The family that protests together!

Did Harrell admit he's using city resources to campaign? His campaign letter says "From the desk of Mayor Bruce Harrell."

He did use Seattle's Instagram to campaig. His deputy is running the "independent" $1.6M PAC. Bruce spoke at their fundraiser!

Bruce thinks the rules don't apply (to him)

Love these courtyards. Let's get this architect running our planning department in Seattle.

I want this on our two mostly empty blocks in Roosevelt. Plus Ft. Lawton's development, and we could do it at Magnuson too!

What a contrast. Geez.
October 8, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Bruce Harrell makes his closing statement for why he should keep his job after his poor performance as Seattle Mayor and this line says it all.

"This is not the time to hope."

"Run it like a business Mayor" - this business, perhaps.
