neither of those things are a crime but saying that the nda payment was a lawyers bill to hide the fact that you paid it is falsifying business records and IS a crime. shooting a gun isn’t a crime and pointing at someone isn’t a crime but when you combine the two…

i actually agree with you, but part of being president is the expectation of being held to a higher standard. Few people would care if someone slept with a secretary but when bill clinton did it it was a problem because he’s the president and we (used to) expect more from the president.

They are felonies because in New York falsifying a business record with the intention of hiding evidence of something is automatically a felony.

this law has been completely unchanged since 2014.

there was verifiable evidence that trump instructed his lawyer to hide the payments, the idea that he didn’t know his trust was falsifying 30+ records or that he didn’t know he was paying millions in hush money is laughable.

records associated with trusts and LLCs are both legally “business records” because they are both entities that do “business”. Again, this information is a mere google search away.

the payments aren’t illegal, but writing them off as legal fees is falsifying business records which is a felony. If it’d happened once or even twice I’d agree it was a mistake. But it happen 34 times and there was evidence of him telling his lawyer to do it. that’s why the jury convicted

the democrats were playing 4d chess by having like 30 different people accuse trump of sexual assault over the course of 40 years, and have him admit to it in a recording just in case he ever went into politics.

fascinating that anyone who draws their own conclusions instead of being told what to think from an actor turned criminal is a bot.

Paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to all of the people who had dirt on him and then falsified his business records so that voters wouldn’t know. That’s all before he tried to overturn the election, which is cut and dry treason.

a jury found him guilty, so there was. this is how the legal system works. if the prosecution thinks jurors are biased they are allowed to strike them, which means that the jury that found him unanimously guilty was a jury of people who trumps own lawyers thought were fair and unbiased individuals.

they prosecuted him for crimes which he was then found guilty of and which had overwhelming evidence. If you think a criminal investigation following clearly criminal acts is partisan idk what to tell you.
