Medusa, a once-beautiful priestess of Athena, was pursued by Poseidon in the goddess’s temple. Some say he seduced her; others claim he forced her. Enraged, Athena cursed Medusa, turning her hair into snakes and her gaze into a weapon that turned men to stone. More ⬇️
