I wouldn't even call her my ex, we were just kids, and yet, that's the closest I've been to a relationship with a girl”. The cover for a short story about my life growing up as an aro-ace (aromantic asexual) in Mexico in the 2000’s. Below, me sitting cross legged staring at some pieces of heteronormative media that I grew up watching and consuming Below, a small explanation on how asexuality is the lack of sexual attraction to any gender (and aromanticism the same but with romantic attraction). Then the classic inverted triangle used to illustrate it, then mentioning that we can have sex and be in relationship due to feeling the physical need to it, for fun, to bond with partners, etc. And in the end an important note on how this narrates my personal experience, so not every aro-ace person feels and lives it exactly like I do. Some may though.
