I answered a call from Tennessee Williams when I worked as an ASM at Hampstead Theatre Club in 1969 . He asked to speak to James Roose Evans I replied he was out. The deep American voice on the phone said”’OK just tell him Tennessee called”, I nearly fainted.

The initials of the metal clasps point us to Adolph of Cleves, Lord of Ravenstein (1425 - 1492) as the owner.

I got Superhost from Airbnb for the fourth year running. We have over 300 five star reviews. The biggest surprise is how lovely the guests are. Seeing them unwind & appreciate the peace, birds,views & beaches. Lots bring dogs who Daisy looks after.It’s very rewarding quite apart from the money.

Our Plankbridge Shepherd’s hut. With Daisy our canine host sitting in the doorway. The hut is in a wildlife paddock, private & fully fenced/hedged so guests’ dogs can run free. There’s a pond with newts & dragonflies. Lots of garden birds & owls hooting at night. Inside the hut it has a king size bed, mini kitchen & proper bathroom with loo & shower.
It’s a lovely gentle place to get away from the busy world.
