In my city management colluded with officers to "coach" instead of discipline. Coaching doesn't contribute to the record needed to fire, isn't subject to public records law, and doesn't protect the city from liability for police misconduct.

Going into business as a tax preparer and learning how many small business owners expect to cheat on their taxes was really demoralizing. Especially when they were people I knew before.

I assume it keeps a lot of them up at night, and should always have, but especially since 2020. We keep electing on reform and it keeps failing, so they know they don't have control.

This is how you do it - American law is full of provisions for religious freedom and even though the Supreme Court is only on the side of one flavor of religion, tradition and the lower courts are not.

Continues to be striking how, since Frey erected the greenway fence to Lake/Nicollet, the crowd has returned en masse to 2900 block of Blaisdell. Frey bleats “you can’t have encampments by home & businesses“ but that’s exactly where he’s pushed these folks. Meanwhile 50 housing vouchers go unfunded.

You're right, they are already. There's a lot of other video going on. And all it ever does is get faked charges dropped. No restitution, no punishment for the lying cops. Though also turning off body cams should be evidence of intent.

It's falsifying official documents, misuse of authority, all sorts of things that are already illegal. But there's never prosecution.

I've been beating this drum for 20 years: because of the conflicts if interest that stop prosecutors from prosecuting, we need laws in every state mandating charges when officers official statements are contradicted by video/audio evidence.
