Back in when people wanted “ninjas”, I said I wanted to be/wanted to work with gardeners. Ninjas come in and leave a bloody mess in the morning. Gardeners patiently cultivate.

Learning how to swim for the first time in my mid-30s. Still can’t breathe doing freestyle stroke, so I wear a goofy little snorkel to practice at the pool.

I would welcome a recommendation! Love historical or scientific non-fiction by Sarah Vowell, Susan Orlean and Mary Roach. Favorite fiction books include Lincoln in the Bardo, My Year of Rest and Relaxation, and Sorry for Disrupting the Peace. Short attention span/give up on books easily when bored.
