Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

I feel you so much! It's a shame that tumblr got such a bad rap for the censorship debacle because it really does feel like a holdout from the good internet days. I am trying to use Instagram more lately for business purposes and the feed with random posts that are designed to manipulate me sucks.

Just read Maker Of Grave Goods by @roseberrycomix.bsky.social and it's so sweet.

I love the way the protagonist is a "religious conservative" at heart and yet despite feeling anxious about change, still has no hate in her. It's a lovely and complex depiction that gets at something human via aliens.

Thank you and I'm happy to enjoyed reading it. And you definitely hit the nail on the head with Mazu; my planning documents describe her as a "true believer" and it's good to know that characterization came across clearly.
