Happy Easter to all those that celebrate. Personally I'm not a religious person but I respect each person decision to live their life that works for them and doesn't harm others. I do believe religion has a place and helps some with purpose and meaning.

Why are democrats in power so stupid. I mean, with all the wild fires raging, why didn't they just move their weather machine over to the LA wildfires and just make it rain. Now, they are facing all this backlash when the solution was so easy.

One of the points I made was in reference to “community notes”. Its being pitched as a new form of moderation. But the reality on X is that almost every time, Notes only show up to the people who volunteer to respond.
They aren’t visible to everyone else. So they really don’t have an impact

The US Trade balance was $427B exports vs $481B imports from Canada. On a per capita basis Canadian consumers are buying $10,675 per person of US goods. US consumers are buying $1,435 per person of Canadian goods.

I don't need everyone's beliefs and convictions to be the same as mine. We can only grow if we engage with people who have different ideas and different ways of doing things. But I do expect that we share those opinions in a respectful way. That they be based on sound rational.

So. A 25% tariff on Canadian and Mexican goods. Homes about to get alot more expensive in the US as much of the wood is imported from Canada. Not to mention aluminum and other metals used in manufacturing in the US. Good luck with those cheaper homes.

Redact is a really good free app to wipe away all your history on various social platforms. I've left Twitter permanently. But made sure to clean the account before leaving. Make sure to also go to settings, data sharing, and uncheck all the options before deactivating.
