Perhaps the most definitive refutation of Bari Weiss' longrunning projection of herself and The FP as post-partisan, not-on-your-side truthtellers is CBS's acquisition of The FP and installation of Weiss as EIC *precisely* at a time when Paramount was desperately seeking to curry favor with Trump.

This is indefensible. You can commend Kirk for engaging with dissenters in discussion and debate without preposterously elevating that to a full-blown positive appraisal of the way he practiced politics, which, in the main, involved being an indefatigable reactionary provocateur.

Don't get me wrong, the "theocratic" part of "theocratic libertarian" is certainly coming across. But I missed that passage in Milton Friedman where he thought we should enshrine the 10 Commandments and force people to stay married.

The report quotes Bray admitting that there may be an innocuous explanation for all this and expresses a desire not to come across as conspiratorial, but I think he is perfectly within his rights to see it all as quite fishy. Trump has pledged an all-out assault on "Antifa."

I think it says a lot that the organization that essentially paid a $16 million bribe to Trump, and got an $8 billion merger approved by federal regulators afterwards, was looking for a way to convey its newfound openness to Trump and decided that Bari and her mag were the way to do that.

Their prayers are to themselves. They’ve flattened the Christian faith into a theological license to carry out their violent political program. In the face of actual prayers in line with Christian teaching, this is how they respond.
