I read a lot of manga because actual anime was scarce in my area. Because ATLA doesn't count, I'm gonna have to say Bamboo Blade. I had to watch it on DVD borrowed from the library

People feel so uncomfortable with the idea of disliking something, so they have to have an excuse because they don't want to feel like a "bad person" for having a negative reaction to a whole person/piece of art
But they don't understand that it's so freeing and fun to just dislike things

maybe controversial but i think it's easier to just say "i don't like person a just because i don't like them" instead of fabricating an ontologically evil persona to project onto and assigning malicious intentions to their every act and having to keep this up every time they exist especially online
