That's great to hear. There were some audible boos but TV probably exagerated for extra controversy.

Brentford at home. Final whistle. Him and the team I guess

Fair play again. Wins the league, preseason plans destroyed both mentally & physically after Jota tragedy & yet gets booed & calls for his job. I expect that from those on the cesspit but the fans in the stadium shocked me. I've always taking my lead from the knowledgeable Anfield crowd Now..no idea

www.youtube.com/watch?v=a31P... from November 2025. The words from the sports psychologist on this podcast are even more striking to me now that we are through January and the results that have occurred (he spoke about expecting that the grief of the players would hit its peak around mid January).
Why can't we just let Liverpool grieve? | The Sports Agents

Another friend put it to me like this: "ICE has made the classic Nazi mistake. They've invaded a winter people in the winter."

Enjoyed that. More or less where I stand. Although there are issues, 1st and 4th is above par for Slot.
Regardless of who the mgr is, a centre back in Jan is vital. Aside from the injury high wire act, things could get messy when Ibou signs a pre-contract with his next team..

A quality midfielder light but looking strong at keeper, defence and strikers. Bodes well
January 18, 2026 at 8:09 PM
Yeah many others said they'd give the team as much leeway as they needed. Sadly they have forgotten about that now.
I do fear it will get worse if we don't sign a centreback this month. Konate's form could fall apart once he pre signs with someone else.
It won't be Slot's fault but he'll be blames
January 18, 2026 at 8:02 AM
You're spot on. Konate headloss again. And what can Slot do about that? Nothing because he has no other centre halves that can replace him.
We have to sign a centre half in January.
Once Konate signs his pre contract with his new club, his form could unravel quickly

Have we really become a club that want to sack a mgr sitting 4th after winning the lge the season before & having to deal with an unimaginable tragedy?
I see more people wanting Slot sacked than keep and I dont use Twitter!
All very depressing.

We were tracking towards 90 points all season then eased off after it was won. Elite performance from team and coach last season.
This not so much unfortunately

Why are you removing 5 games?
You're better that this petty bs
January 18, 2026 at 7:21 AM
"it was difficult to see what evidence there was of the week's work behind the scenes at the AXA Training Centre"

Not sure what game you were watching if you couldn't see the amount of chances created.

As for shoehorning in a Hodgson comparison by removing wins. That's just petty.

I wonder what they say to the players and agents? I assume they ask
January 16, 2026 at 2:46 PM
I assume City are telling players and agents that the 130 charges will come to nothing or just a slap on the wrist?
January 16, 2026 at 2:45 PM
How could a PL winning manager not be the required level to manage LFC?
January 16, 2026 at 2:44 PM
We just don't get VAR penalties.
January 13, 2026 at 1:54 PM
Good shout. Ekitike does remind me of Torres and the team will be built around Wirtz. Question is. Where does that leave Isak?
