When I was first doing comics, Mike was drawing a story for Tales of The Ninja Warriors and @royburdine.bsky.social and I were amazed that Mike was doing work on this little black and white comic, because he was a legend, while we were these kids pretending that we were Real Comic Artists.
Today is the birthday of artist Mike Sekowsky (Nov. 19, 1923-March 30, 1989). Most known for his work on Justice League and Wonder Woman.

Met Keith Giffen and spent time hanging out talking with him when I moved to NY - was also excited to have him do boards for us on TMNT (they were as fully rendered as comic book pages - beautiful stuff) He was a legend and a cool guy with LOTS of great stories #RIP bleedingcool.com/comics/keith-g…
