honestly, LSU making 4 national championship game appearances in the 21st century, and each of 4 trips coming in the 4 seasons the title game was played in New Orleans (which provides no advantage during the course of the season) has to be close to mathematically impossible

The commercialisation of the internet is what ruined it.

It's why the last bastions of non-commercial, community-driven spaces are heavily targeted so much, particularly Wikipedia. It's unfathomable and unconscionable to the hyper-capitalists that such a large space exists with no financial goal.
