From switchgrass to sugarcane scraps, plants are not just food sources but also the building blocks for creating sustainable packaging materials. Unlike traditional plastics derived from fossil fuels, these biopolymers can reduce our carbon footprint significantly #futurism #productDesign #ux

Typography in web and app design has become…functional, but where’s the playfulness? In the days of print and manual typesetting, typography wasn’t just text; it was part of the art, framing visuals and conveying emotions. #productDesign #visualDesign

4th Grade Computing Class in the 80's. We programmed in Basic on this majestic sheet metal behemoth: The Commodore PET.
I made a choose-your-own adventure game, one day saw some older kids playing it together. I was hooked ever since, not so much coding but the affect it can have on people.

Ethics in UX, or a lack thereof.
@WINRED
using confusing mash of check marks to trick people into making recurring donations. Then it’s quite difficult to stop the recurring charges. This is fraud

Flexa pods, regular pods are exposed to the elements - kinda gross. People touching them, critters crawling all over them. We designed Flexa pods to be individually wrapped so they're safe and sanitary. Plus, the wrapper gives a great canvas to communicate your brand #productdesign #coffee

We wanted to make an offering in the single serve beverage space I said, let’s start from zero & ask how coffee/beverages fit in our lives. We made Flexa™️ a soft beverage pod that can fit in your favorite single serve machine, or just drop it in a cup of water #beverage #Coffee #keurig #Packaging

You can train an AI model using your own artwork, like you might train an assistant. Artists who learn to leverage AI can expand their reach, do more with less and realize their vision. It's how we made a nostalgic illustration strategy for MoeYum our meal planning, recipe & nutrition tracking app.

Some painterly images created by our MoeYum AI to illustrate the recipes it created for our early users based on any ingredients they wanted.

Our AI steps in to generate these painterly images on the fly, based on statistical models we created.

Early in my career, I likened designing a user experience to crafting a waterslide — However, this perspective shifted as introducing deliberate friction points in a user experience can be beneficial. These pauses allow users to mentally "own" the moment. #ux

As we introduce these robots into workplaces, several questions arise. How does the presence of such a machine make you feel? Could you trust it as you would a human coworker? What would it take for you to rely on this robot over a human? #ai #ux #userexperience #automation

a little bit of progression on my portfolio site, iterate - learn. Did you know you can upload an image to ChatGPT and get design feedback? next best thing to having a review with a fellow designer in the room. #uxdesign #ai

Imagine starting from the ground level with user-experience thinking to guide every aspect of a service. From branding, to product features. The time the user spends with your experience and the long-term impact on their daily life matters.
