One of my favorite parts of early Linux history is Linus wanting to call the project Freax, thinking Linux was too egotistical. When he uploaded it to an FTP server the admin Ari Lemmke thought the name was stupid so he just changed it to Linux without telling him

I was at Barnes & Nobles just barely and this lady in line behind me was talking about the tik tok ban to her child and was explaining how trump is planning on lifting the ban once he’s in office and explained that a certain someone did a similar thing in Germany in 1933.. yes he did mom! 😅 u right!
