How often does someone have success in buying a property by cold-calling the owner and offering a considerably below market offer? I would imagine that it’s a very low probability, but considering how often I get those calls, CLEARLY folks think this is a winning strategy 🤷🏻‍♂️

My favorite author from when I was growing up, Peter David, passed away on Saturday. I was lucky enough to meet him several times when I was growing up as he had family in southeastern Pennsylvania and would often stay in the area.

A rainy morning has led to a pretty open calendar, which is very rare for me on a Saturday. This means I get to both sleep in AND enjoy a picturesque brunch, as seen below

My social media presence is clearly giving some people the wrong idea about how I spend my time. For example, a friend of mine that I met while traveling in Italy sent me an invite to a reception in Cannes since they figured I'd "probably be there for the festival."

I am getting so many ads on the health benefits of products where the person in the as AI generated. If you aren't even going to try to convince me that an actual human being showed positive progress in their health as a result of your product, what is the point of your ad?!?!

Coworker: How was the bird meeting?
Me: Hmm?
Coworker: Your bird meeting, the apiary meeting.
Me: Apiary refers to bees…
Coworker: It’s not birds?
Me: Do I need to literally tell you about the birds and the bees?

I had an informational interview with a recent college grad today and we were talking about podcasts. Friends, if you were going to do a podcast on a topic you felt comfortable talking about week after week OTHER THAN your day-job, what would it be?

This is what I tell myself as I try to make time to watch all of Ted Lasso, which I've only seen a few episodes of
I had wanted to watch the show since 2019 but I only managed to watch it this past summer. Sometimes life just gets in the way

As I count how many dishes I've had broken or chipped over the years and how check how much it would cost to replace them, I'm forced to decide between paying the replacement costs or just buying an all new set of dishes

As a chronically online person who firmly believes in locally owning my digital collection as well as backing up my data, I am looking forward to a week from now when the new hard drives I picked up on Black Friday have finished saving the dozen terabytes of data that I'm copying over to them

It is fantastic that the PA Farm Bureau recognized Secretary Redding for his many years promoting farming in Pennsylvania by awarding him the Distinguished Agricultural Service award. Even more fantastic is Secretary Redding recognizing his wife Nina as the main driver for all he’s accomplished
