The original antifa, not the compromised second draft.

Just to note, I don't think he cares about going to heaven. I think he says that stuff to play to the evangelical dipshits that voted for him.

I was reading a thing where it said if the average person worked full time, and saved every cent they ever earned, they wouldn't be in the top 10% of earners when they retired. And I can say I have absolutely no interest in ever being in the top 10% of earners anyway.

I'm very aware they are. But it seems like they're going to respond to anything we do as if it was an insurgency and expect the country to go along with it.
rufus-hickok.bsky.social
Yeah, I get that. But the media reinforces that fantasy for plenty of people like my mother in suburbia who will never visit Portland or Chicago.

I realize the years of lead were terrible and violence only leads to reaction and fascism. But so does non-violence apparently! So, I'm a little surprised the radical left underground is basically a myth at this point.

The administration is so desperate to prove there's a violent revolutionary front in America, and we're all so desperate to show there really isn't- just a lot of non-violent protesters in cute costumes like us. But, I don't know- it's kind of weird there isn't a revolutionary front at this point.

But when you pair it with propaganda like this *absolutely* reprehensible piece from CNN, it seems clear the core audience wants a show they've already dreamed about.

"President Donald Trump and his top aides are using the word 'insurrection' more frequently to describe anti-ICE protests in places like Portland," writes Zachary B. Wolf. https://cnn.it/4pWYmzr

Such a bizarre supply and demand situation going on.

It really highlighted the surreal theatrical aspect of this all- martial law as entertainment for a specific core audience.

It was not much different from actual news footage, except the "protester" was a stereotypical "antifa" white guy, the "soldier" was Black, and he got off a zinger at the end.
Protester: What is your name, soldier?! (screaming repeatedly.)
(Pepper spraying)
Soldier: Sgt. Pepper!
Witty!
rufus-hickok.bsky.social
The weirdest thing I've seen online today was an AI video a MAGA guy shared on Facebook of a protester being pepper sprayed that I might not have known was AI without the little Sora watermark at the beginning....

For all the stories about how nobody reads anymore, it's fun to see all the young dudes coming into the bookstore geeking out about a new Pynchon novel being out.

I've gotta stop getting on this app right after I wake up. I want to open my eyes, read about the world, and find some kind of large-scale hope, and there's so little here, or anywhere else (yes I am following the feed you're about to mention). I am so exhausted and scared, and internet doesn't help

I really believe that huge majorities of Americans don’t want masked soldiers shooting priests in the street. They don’t want naked children ripped out out of their apartments in the middle of the night and handcuffed. We win by making sure these stories get told.

The same people who insisted devout Catholic Joe Biden was leading a “war on Christianity” are now cheering Trump on as his armed goons assault clergymen.

WATCH: Trump’s lawless Ice goons shoot an unarmed priest in the head with a pepper ball. Completely out of control.

What if they throw a civil war and nobody shows?

And there you have it.

Once again the comments are full of people accusing this farmer of voting for Trump. He didn't and he has plenty to say about it.

ICE will reportedly hire contractors to surveil social media platforms 24/7 to target people for deportations.

The information would then be funneled into an existing ICE database built by Palantir (founded by Trump ally Peter Thiel).

"The party of small government,” folks.

Looking at the guy's other clips, I've found he recommends the movie Country with Sam Shepard and Jessica Lange and his political "hero" is John Tester, who I regret to inform you...

There's a very funny interview from the time where Caine says that Jaws 4 is the best movie he's ever been in and it's obvious he's never going to see it.

I love it when these clips get posted here because everyone gets to imagine the guy's entire political journey from his accent and livelihood.

Soybean Farmer: So now I've got a tariff war that's killing my market. I don't have any money from grain we're sending to other countries for USAID. I mean, I've got a compound problem. I don't know how you plan for next year because we don't know where we're at.

Apparently, they gave up after three sequels though. Which is impressive restraint.
