I tend to estimate how long it will take to prototype. If I can get a good handle on the scope of the project, I can figure out how long a prototype should take and if it's worth spending so much time.

It makes it easier to immediately react to what button needs to be pressed. That's a great way of utilising mapping. I like it!

Such a great idea to use a subtle signifier like that. It draws your attention but doesn't entirely distract you.

I like how "bouncy" the avatar is. It gives the movement quite an upbeat feel.

The small ripple after interacting with a piece of land is a nice touch. It's impressive to see while still being quite subtle.

I'm always reminded by this image when thinking of video game water. It's amazing how much effort some games put into the water and water physics. I remember reading about how Rare achieved such a good look in Sea of Thieves. Stunning.
